9 months!!!

Reagan & I are kind of in shock right now... it is really bizarre to be able to say "I'm 9 months pregnant!!!" And when we consider that we may have this baby in Dallas in 2 weeks - wow! (Of course, I keep reminding Reagan that the baby could come earlier even if we schedule to induce in Dallas - it just blows our minds to realize we'll have a baby really, really, really soon!)
Went to the dr again on Friday- heart rate on the monitor was anywhere from 105 bpm to 160 bpm. The doctor said that the 5 accelerations were "beautiful." (Love when they use words like "beautiful" & "normal" when talking about my baby!) Still progressing but not like I'd hoped... I was really hoping to be a "7"! My ob informed me that only like 1 in 10,000 women get that far without labor! I reminded him that we have the 1 in 1.5 million baby- so why not hope?!?! :) Oh well... guess I'll have to labor like everyone else! :) I then went for a quick pedicure & asked the lady to please pay special attention to rubbing the feet- I'm trying to induce on my own!
And on the nesting thing... I love getting so much done! Most of my list is now crossed off! However, I've added a few things. Like the windows- they have been bothering me so yesterday I went all the way around the house washing the outside of the windows. Then, I decided the plantation shutters were bothering me... so I dusted all of them. Then I built the pack & play (so I'd know how) & packed it back up. I was wide awake at 5 am this morning thinking about projects - I even woke up Reagan & made him breakfast (not like me - I am NOT a morning person... until recently!) I also sewed these burp rags- some for a boy, some for a girl, some neutral. I was sewing onesies last summer for my first baby but then haven't really felt like trying again until now. I still had all the fabric & ribbons & it was on the to do list to get rid of so... I sewed 8 fun burprags!

Katie - I wanted to share something I wrote about yall in a blog I wrote tonight. Keep writing!

It's amazing to me how other people's stories can impact your walk with God. My friend Katie and her husband Reagan are having a special needs child. She blogs almost daily about their experiences and about preparing for this special child. I cry daily when I read her blog because my heart aches for her. Yet, Katie and Reagan aren't mourning. They are getting their lives ready for this special baby who will no doubt change their way of thinking - and the way of thinking of those around them. When I read her stories, her revelations, I find myself praying to God about them. It has impacted my prayers and the way I look at parenting. I can't wait to meet their beautiful child.
