Decisions & Belly Pic (34 Weeks)

We have now met with 2 pediatricians & our local specialist & we will see our ob in a few days. Basically, by sometime next week, we need to decide the following:

  • whether or not to deliver in Dallas or in Odessa (delivering here in Midland is out... Odessa has one of the top NICU units in the state & the country!)

  • whether or not to have an amnio (could induce early labor at this point in my pregnancy)

Please pray for our wisdom & guidance in making these decisions. Right now, the doctors are disagreeing about both decisions. Please pray that they would all come to the same conclusion which would make our decision making easier! There are so many factors to consider with both decisions - pros & cons on both sides of each issue. Thanks - K & R

I found out about your blog from a coworker who has been following your story now for some time. I am crying my eyes out now in shame at myself. I am so incredibly touched by your strength and faith in God. You are such an inspiration not just for mothers with special needs babies, or for mothers with normal babies, but for all human beings. I can only hope that when my unborn child is born (I am 13 weeks now) that I can be half the mother you are and that you will be. My mother always said God works in mysterious ways...mama was right!
I will continue to think of you and pray for you and your amazing little one who is by far, the luckiest child in the world to have such wonderful loving and devoted parents such as you and Reagan. And if God does not bless you with the miracle of hands and feet, he has surely blessed you with another miracle: that of your child and those whose lives have been changed forever as a result of meeting you!
Thank you and God bless,
