Whew... so much to say & so little time to do so!
* First Night Of Sleep: Will slept 8 hours between feedings last night- PRAISE THE LORD!!!! It's amazing what sleep deprivation does to you! I was so happy at 6:30 this morning that I went for a long early run! Let's hope he keeps this up!
* First Smile: Last Friday as we were waiting on Will's team to come into the room at Scottish Rite, Reagan & I were playing with Will when he suddenly gave me his first intentional smile! I squealed with delight!!! He continues to melt my heart with that precious smile! :) :) :)

* First Plane Ride: Will did great flying to Dallas last week- & there was a plane full of happy, relieved passengers when he slept the whole time! Southwest gave him a certificate signed by the captain & his first set of wings- so cute! See airplane pic below.
* First trip to Tyler: Will & I came to Tyler for a little while- it's fun to introduce him to my parents' friends & take long walks & runs together. We also stayed with some precious family friends in Dallas- see pic to the right (One is 92, one is 6 weeks)
* First run: Will went running with me on my first run post pregnancy... he slept, I huffed & puffed! I've got a
race to train for! (see our website- http://www.psalm139baby.org/) See stroller pic below.
* First restaurant: In between doctor's appointments last week we took Will to eat at La Madeline- he did great & we enjoyed getting out!

*First time to grow out of newborn & preemie clothes- makes me so SAD! Love those sweet clothes! (notice the bulging belly on the airplane!)
*First trip to Scottish Rite: I can not use enough words to describe how fantastic this children's hospital is! We had a great first visit! Will has a great team of doctors, physical & occupational therapists, psychologists, etc to work with. They were so encouraging & optimistic. What a place of hope! So many prayers were answered in that visit- thank yo
u for being on your knees. We will return within a month to meet with his other team & then again when he is 6 months old to begin the prosthetic process. They have assured us that Will can & will do everything a typical baby does at the normal time frame- he will walk on his own two feet! We'll just have prosthetics available to him in order to enable him to have lots of options as he performs various activities. Oh we are so encouraged & blessed!* First non- how to baby books I've read & FINISHED since pregnancy: No Excuses by Kyle Maynard & Playing From the Heart by Roger Crawford (both are guys with limb differences who also happen to be stellar athletes- collegiate wrestler & professional tennis player- very encouraging books!) I'm confident Will will blow our minds with what he can do! Watch out world! (& Reagan & I have front row seats- wow!) :)
* And not a first but a huge relief for Will's mommy- doctor gave me permission to cut back on the marathon feeding process we've been doing for 6.5 weeks! What a relief to be able to feed him quicker now= more sleep for me & Will & daddy! :) (ps- he is now 10 lbs!!!)
*Another not a first but don't know where else to put it... one of my favorite things about having a baby is coordinating all the baby items! Whenever we go out in public (which at this point means going to the pediatrician's once a week!), I love to match Will to me & then to "accessorize" with a coordinating blanket, burp cloth, & diaper bag. And I really love when someone notices how well we all go together! I know- with kids #2 & more I won't do this... so humor me now! :)
Delight yourself in the Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
Before He formed Will in the womb, He knew him, before he was born, he was set apart. Jer. 1:5
