9 months old

Happy 9 Months, Will!!! (plus a week...)
Will had his 9 month well check this week & is doing great! He weighs 21.2 lbs & is 28 3/4 inches long.

What's new in the last month?
He's crawling (although it was backwards for quite a while... he can go forwards but that is really new & didn't happen until after he turned 9 months). When he crawls backwards, he keeps his head turned- so funny!

He spins around really fast while sitting -like he's on a lazy susan.
He feeds himself!
He's tried lots of new table foods & is doing great eating them!
He learned how to swim underwater betweem 2 people without being held - & loves it!
He babbles almost non stop & has added lots of new sounds to his language. He also says mamamama when he is fussy & wants something... (I don't think he knows of course what he is saying.)
He has figured out how to shut doors - & he laughs at his feat.
He went on his first really long road trip - & we both survived.
He fake sneezes & then laughs hysterically at himself.
He mastered getting into a sit from his belly.
He swam in the ocean for the first time.
He went to 4 new states!
He blows kisses (smacks) & gives hugs... precious!

He thinks he's hilarious & laughs all the time at how funny he is. Cracks himself (& everyone else!) up.

He loves to crawl under tables... & gets stuck.

He began to pull up - on his crib, on his baby pool, on the coffee table, on the stairs, everywhere!

I've had to begin "disciplining" him for biting me. So far, it hasn't been terribly effective but I'm keeping at it.

I am loving this stage. He is so much fun! Sometimes, I hate to put him down for a nap because I'm having so much fun playing with him! He's extremely goofy (especially from about 4-8 pm) & that is really fun. He just cracks himself up & keeps us laughing.
