Once again, we ask for your prayers on behalf of our son, sweet Will. On Tuesday morning (Sept. 9), Will will be going into surgery at 10 am at Children's Medical Center in Dallas. Last April, they attempted a surgery on his mouth/tongue but were unable to successfully complete it due to several complications. (Will has a narrow/difficult airway.) They are hoping his airway is bigger and that they will be able to complete the surgery this time.
We are very nervous & scared for our baby. It is perhaps the most difficult thing in the world to hand your child over for surgery.
We have been so humbled by how many people have been on their knees for our son. It is such a blessing to realize that so many people have ownership & investment in his life as they have spent time praying for him. We are forever grateful.
Here are some of our specific requests for this week:
safe travel
protection over Will during surgery & during his recovery
a quick recovery (& that he will be back on table foods very quickly as he pretty much refuses to eat anything from a spoon now!)
minimal pain
wise & cautious surgeons & anestheisologists
compassionate nurses
no complications during surgery or recovery (if you recall what happened to Reagan a few years ago during his recovery time, it's no wonder I worry for Will!)
successful surgery - that this would be a one time thing!
Thank you so much for your prayers this Tuesday morning.
