Today, when we got home from swimming, there were 4 firetrucks & 2 ambulances at the park. We ran inside to grab his new fire gear (which I got used today from a neighbor/friend- thanks Noah- we're already putting your dress up clothes to good use!) & I made his milk & then we went to the park for milk time just before his nap. The boots obviously don't stay on him unless he is sitting down - which was a bit frustrating for him. In fact, it was difficult for me to watch him be frustrated with his feet - he did not want to wear his zancos but he did want to wear his "fireman boots" and couldn't understand why he couldn't walk in them. I just held him while he cried & I told him I was sorry but that I would put them on his zancos for him. Hopefully, they'll fit his zancos tomorrow!
I happen to think the boots look so cute on the wrong feet! :)
He loves his old "fireman hat," new "fireman boots" & "fireman jacket."
On Tuesday, there were 4 firetrucks & 1 ambulance & a mail truck at the end of our street at the park. Mr. Social gave the firemen "high fives" & told them "thank you."
ps- moms of boys (or girls) - the firemen told me that firestations are public buildings & so you can stop by anytime & they will show your kiddo all their "toys" (ie: trucks & tools!) Might be a fun rainy day activity!
And local friends- if you want a hat like Will's - they are free at the firestations!
Will & his friend, Elena, checking out the firetruck on Tuesday.
Last week, Will actually went nearly an entire day without wearing a baseball hat. He became "Cowboy Will" for a day & wore his cowboy hat all day and said lots of "yee haws!" He also insisted on "riding a neigh, please, Mommy." Obviously, I don't have any "neighs" (horses) so I put him on Ruby (our golden retriever) for a ride. He loved it & I was laughing so hard I never did get a picture! Of course, his rides were short- it was kind of like riding a bucking bronco! I think Ruby enjoyed it too - she got rather excited!
(ps- I sewed that cute cowboy fabric on his shirt last week - yay for crafty projects!)
I just love having 2 handymen around the house. R had to work on our RO system last week so Will grabbed his Handy Manny tool set & got to work. I think I caught them hammering, using screwdrivers, using pliers, & even sawing. It was tough work on my boys!
Not every kid can get their foot stuck in such tight places.
What can I say? He's talented... or something.

Are you HOME?! The boys & I were just over to water your flowers...
