We were fortunate enough to be able to celebrate with both sides of our families this Christmas. We did Christmas with part of R's fam prior to Will's surgery & then we headed to Central TX after Christmas to see more of his extended family. Post surgery, we headed to East TX to do Christmas with my side of the family.
Will was hit or miss as far as his moods. About 45 minutes after taking hydrocodine, he was super happy. 2 hours later- he was not so happy.
I think this attempt at a family picture on Christmas Eve really demonstrates how poorly he was feeling:
Most of the evening prior to that precious shot above, however, he was in a great mood. He was a very good helper at opening presents as well. Here he is helping his Gigi open her presents: We read one of my favorite Christmas stories, "You Are My Miracle." I love that Will has part of it memorized!
Poor thing, he spends a lot of time playing pretend doctor... perhaps because he sees so many doctors!
Here he is playing pretend doctor/vet & checking the dog's heart (on her head - obviously, some anatomy lessons are needed.)
