Today, thanks to the generosity of some very kind people, Will & I are flying to Dallas yet again. We will be going to Dallas Children's Hospital for his post-op checkup. Normally, I would be pretty nervous about this but I keep trying to remind myself that "I don't know what I don't know."
Please pray for our safe travels & for good news. We are concerned that surgery was not as successful as we originally thought. This is concerning for several reasons & brings up a few major questions: 1. Will he require more surgery & would that be successful (this was our 2nd surgery for the same issue because it hasn't worked previously.) & 2. Is this it? Have we done all we can do & we need to accept the reality that this is yet another thing we can not "fix."
For now- I don't know what I don't know.
I do know that I need to get ready for our 75th (or something - lost count a while ago!) airplane ride! Bon Voyage!

You should write a book on how to fly with babies/toddlers. I am sure you are an expert by now! I was thinking about your statement, "I don't know what I don't know." That can certainly be applied to my life. It seems that worry (that may be somewhat valid or may be just ridiculous and have no foundation) can take over, and that is obviously not God's will for us. TRUST! Thanks for being an encouragement Katie! I will be praying for clarity and for good news at the doctor's appointment.
