Fun with Lovie!

My mom (Will's Lovie) flew home with us from Dallas the other day & I have been wiped out from that experience (see below post for details) so I have been super thankful to have her here to cook, clean, do laundry, and play with Will.

They had fun together feeding the ducks at our local duck pond & practicing riding the tryke

Lovie is a saint & even got Will to go tee-tee in his potty!

He also treated himself & figured out a more efficient way of eating:

He practiced his photography with his play camera and posed his subject (Lovie) in his baseball glove chair in the playroom

He loved picking out his cupcake at the cupcake store! He had asked Lovie that morning for cupcakes for breakfast but she made pancakes instead. Later, she took him for a cupcake treat! When he walked in the cupcake store, however, he immediately yelled, "Pancakes!" Then he asked the lady behind the counter if she was a pirate like him. She was not, in fact, but she did get a good laugh.

Its a myth that pirates drink rum. Clearly, pirates prefer apple juice.

We went to the children's museum & Will had fun playing there and exploring. In this boat below, he made Lovie get in and be his "mate." He was, of course, the "captain!" He now sings "Row, Row, Row Your Pirate Boat."

He also sang this version today of "Old MacDonald:"

And on that farm he had a pirate.

Last night at bed time, he told us this was his favorite part of the day!

I also found him wandering around the house yesterday morning wearing this "hat." He won't be setting any trends with this.

(It's his potty.)

Have I mentioned he is 2?

Lovie makes better breakfasts than Mommy. He informed me recently that I just make "baseball breakfast bars" (ie: NutriGrain.) Lovie makes sausage and bacon and eggs. Yesterday, they made pancakes together.

Lovie got to go see Will in his swimming lessons & he enjoyed having someone new to show off for!

On the airplane home, Lovie brought their puppy with her (my dad didn't have time or energy to keep up puppy training while she was away). Will liked having Maggie (or as he calls her, "Mag") around to play with. She and Will were great fliers!
