Today, Ellie met her first friend with AMC!
Her therapist called me while I was at the park with Will & Ellie playing after therapy to tell us that the family was in the hospital and had agreed to meet.
I was so very excited.
It's a bit surreal to me.
I first spoke to someone on the phone who is a mom of a kid with Will's syndrome when he was 2 1/2. We have never met anyone with a confirmed diagnosis the same as him.
Ellie is 1 month old and already we have met a little girl who lives near my parents (future play dates??) and is nearly her age! A is 2 months old.
There is something very powerful and bonding in meeting another mom who is walking a similar road as you. She gets it.
I'm so thankful to have met them and hope our girls can become great friends!

Meeting up with "others" is just the best!!!!!! So glad you got this opportunity already! Let me know if you want more contacts for AMC families in the DFW area, I got a handful!!!!
This is wonderful, Katie!!! I have no doubt that the two will become inseparable friends very quickly!!!
