Happy Thanksgiving!
We have much to be thankful for this year.
I'm a teary mess just looking at my precious babe and boy.
I am so grateful for their lives, their smiles, and the abundance of blessings.
I am thankful for those who have encouraged us this year and prayed for our family.
I am forever thankful to our God.
Will telling the story of the First Thanksgiving...
apparently there were dinosaurs at Plymouth Rock.
(Turn the music playlist to pause to hear.)
Will singing his Pilgrim & Indian song
"I'm a little Indian on the go.
Here is my arrow. Here is my bow.
When I go out hunting, hear me shout,
'Buffalos, dinosaurs, bears you better watch out!''
Will's Thanksgiving Bible verse:
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.
His love endures forever."
While my heart is full of gratitude today, it is also heavy for some of our friends. Some friends today are experiencing their first holiday without a loved one. Some are experiencing what may be their last with a loved one who is facing a terminal illness. Some have lost a baby this year and the holidays are looking different than they had dreamed. Some are carrying a baby who is not predicted to survive until next Thanksgiving. And there's Abby, a little girl in our limb difference support group, who has stage 4 cancer. She is Will's age. I can't face today without constant prayers for those of you hurting today. My heart aches for you.
We have much to be thankful for. We don't take it for granted.
May your day be blessed, especially for those of you who are hurting today.
