Ovewhelmed

Since lately it seems I'm a little busy completely consumed by...

breathing treatments for Will who has croup ( & a ear infection)
( & that means some bad nights of sleep around here - you know, in addition to waking Ellie up for position changes & diaper care during the night)
Poor poor baby boy

a half birthday that I barely remembered in time
(& will post the 3.5 interview with the half birthday boy sometime soon)
trying to keep track of who takes what when

diaper care in a body cast for this cutie
changing things up a bit & going "wild thing" with some new duck tape on the cast
(because we are such the trendsetters around here)
(ps - wait til you see what other kinds of tape I found!)
(pss- obviously, it's the little things that bring me great delight)
(psss - I think she is showing off below - she knows she is so cute! :))
reworking the spica diaper system.
Again.
I call it the Voskamp Method - after my friend, Megan, who came to the rescue during the Second Great Diarrhea Incident of 2011 & helped me redo the system in an effort to prevent disasters
(& graciously gave of her time - away from her 4 kids - to clean poop off another child)
(today was the third)
Now, I use some pantiliners along with the poise pads
and cotton, cut into strips & folded & stuffed to make a sort of barrier inside the cast!
(The good news?  It pretty much worked today - small leakage but I was able to handle it solo - without any tears- in 50 minutes! :))

Taking Ellie to her final therapy session at MCRC
(We will miss you, Crystal!)
Look at her holding a toy!!!  Go Ellie Girl!!!
hmmmm...
there's something else...

Oh, yes.
The Packing.
Oh the packing.
Moving Day is 3 days away!

So -
I'm going to take a break for a few days (unless God answers my prayers & I wake up tomorrow to have everything packed!)
I'm just a bit overwhelmed.

But coming soon -
saying goodbye to friends & family & sharing how so many have so lovingly served us with their time and energy these last few weeks

a lesson learned in thankfulness

the fruits of the spirit - by Will

Katie I can't believe you found time to post anything in the midst of everything that you have going on! We'll all be thinking of you and praying for you during the move regardless of whether you're able to update your blog or not. I hope Will feels better and the move goes smoothly. Please give your mom and dad (my cousin) a hug from your Montana relatives.
