Waxing & Sick...

Be glad you aren't in our house tonight! I have strep throat - yuck! Reagan has pink eye! Aren't we just a picture of health!?!
Went to the dr today & he confirmed my suspicions of strep & has prescribed an antibiotic. Fortunately, strep & the antibiotic won't hurt the baby & I should be feeling better within 24 hrs! (Thank goodness because it's finals week so I have to be at school daily!)
I told Dr. Doke I was a little upset to break my record of no medicine during pregnancy - haven't taken tylenol, tums, anything. He looked at me like I was crazy & suggested I try for a new record that I can be sure of accomplishing. His suggestion? "Don't smoke crack during the pregnancy"- at least it's something I know I can accomplish! (He was being quite funny today!)
Baby stats- my belly is measuring a week big (not surprising since the baby is measuring 2.5-3 weeks big). Heartbeat is good & strong- slowed down in the last month which is normal but is now in the high end of the mythical "boy" range. (138) All else is good...
Oh, that other part of the visit.... I asked about bikini waxing during pregnancy. He again looked at me like I was nuts, looked at Reagan, & then (while laughing) announced he couldn't imagine why I would ever want to do that anyway, pregnant or not! It was actually hilarious- he apparently hasn't had that question before & proceeded to discuss with Reagan how painful the process must be. I had to interrupt their conservation to get my answer! FYI - you can do that while pregnant - just no chemicals & expect worse pain than normal.
