Things I'll miss...
- listening to the heartbeat
- kicking, rolls, punches, elbow jabs, etc.
- playing chase across my belly with the baby
- maternity clothes- I know... but I love them!
- people I know rubbing my belly & trying to guess what I'm having
- total strangers rubbing my belly & trying to guess what I'm having
- children rubbing my belly & imagining things- ("oh - I can see him/ he's looking at me... etc."- so funny!)
- counting my life in weeks
- smiles from people & kids
- guiltless eating
- my flat bellybutton - kind of like it like this
- people giving up things for me - chairs, etc.
- my "expectant mother" parking spots at the grocery store- I got rather teary today as I parked in one for the final time of this pregnancy!
- hiccups (poor kid has them daily - record is 4 times in a day... shakes my whole belly now - bless his/her heart!)
- feeling so good about my body/ so purposeful, fulfilled, & happy with who I am
- Reagan feeling the baby move or watching the baby move... & laughing so joyfully. It's like he is amazed every time & full of wonder
Things I won't miss...
- sleepless nights before doctor appointments
- sleepless nights/ or interrupted sleep... period
- fear
- kick counting - due to fear
- unexplained emotions (Reagan won't miss this either!)
- constant need for a bathroom (7 times the other night!)
- nervousness
- the "what -ifs"
- swollen feet & fingers
- not knowing if it is a boy or girl - I'm so glad we chose to be surprised but now I can't wait to know!

Reagan and Katie,
First and foremost, please know that your family is in my prayers. It has been a honor to read your blog and I feel like I should know you by now.
Second, let me introduce myself. My name is Kristen McGee and I work in the Special Events/Public Relations office of TSRHC. My main responsibility is representing TSRHC to all those who are participating in WDWRM. That said, in monitoring the Active.com pages, I found yours and the link to your blog. I have been reading this religiously and anxiously awaiting your news!
As I mentioned above, it has been a blessing to read your blog and to see God's amazing plan of choosing you as this child's parents. It is evident you are fulfilling His expectations.
On another note, I would like to say what a wonderful place TSRHC is and how wonderful each of the patients are and how they offer such delight in our day. I know your child will do the same. My husband and I are still enjoying being newly married, but in the meantime, all the kids here have stolen my heart. You will be amazed at how they have seem to overcome challenges as though it was a bump in the road when it appears to be a mountain in our eyes.
Anyway, I thought I would take a moment to say hello and to let you know that it would be an honor to meet you. I would be happy to be of assistance anytime you are visiting TSRHC. Please let me know when you are in the area. I am also thrilled to hear that you will be joining the WDWRM efforts soon. As our chairman says, it is a great race in a great city for a great cause! I am truly looking forward to meeting your family and to have you on the team!
If you have a moment, please give me a call at (214) 559-7829. If we can't meet in person soon, I would love to talk in further detail over the phone.
Thank you for all that you are doing to honor God's plan and to help in the mission of TSRHC. It has been a joy to get to know you and a joy to hear about your child's first few months.
All my best and many prayers!
Kristen McGee
