Will & his Daddy, sleeping. (I couldn't figure out what in the world Reagan was doing... smart boy - he fell asleep while rocking Will & got out of helping me clean the house Saturday morning!) :)

So I'll spare you a recording of me singing but lately I've been singing "A Few of My Favorite Things" to Will while rewriting the words to be my favorite things to do with him. Here's a short list of some of my new favorite things about being Will's mommy:
- getting him to smile at me... especially when he is in a teasing mood - lots of playful smiles!
- rocking with him
- giving him baths
- taking baths together
- speaking Spanish to him (we started this last week - I speak to him in Spanish all day for 2 days a week... hoping to raise him to be bilingual... plus it is good practice for me!)
- watching him sleep- who knew that despite utter exhaustion, I can be so content to stand in the middle of the night at his crib & just watch him sleep... every single night. I know I should hurry to get my own sleep but it is the closest thing to heaven - so peaceful & trusting & beautiful.
- kissing away his sweet tears- my mom says that it's harder when your kids are hurting when they're older because you can't fix it for them... I love that when Will is upset, I can usually kiss away his tears & comfort him & fix the problem (usually!)
- those precious looks of love he gives me
- when he wraps his arms around me like he is giving me a big hug... & he holds on so tightly
- running together
- playing with him
- watching him start to imitate my sounds
- coming up with new nicknames for him using the name Will (ie: Will the Thrill, Super Will, Will the Chill, Will the Pill, Sweet Will (all depending on his mood at the moment!)
