Happy Independence Day!!! Midland has a huge children's parade around the courthouse so we got together with some friends & walked with our kids in the parade. There were bikes, trikes, wagons, strollers, & even some little kid sized atvs. It was Will's first parade & so much fun! He did great in spite of being during his morning nap time & in fact seemed quite relaxed in the wagon (see pic at bottom.) We had 10 kids in our group & we also met up with Reagan's sister & her kids as well as Will's grandparents & great granny!
Later, we had lunch with Reagan's family & went swimming. We also went to a cookout with some friends & finally ended the day with Reagan's family. Sadly, due to the burn ban we did not see fireworks this year. There was no way I was keeping Will up past dark anyway. Maybe next year!
The parade, however, was tons of fun & will definitely become a tradition!
Attempting to get 10 kids to all sit down & look at the camera...not an easy task!
Do you see the dad who is trying to hold a kid down???

Looks like a blast. Sorry we had to miss out! Maybe, we can join next year. Just think how many kids will be in it next year (even if ONLY the same people participate). Ha! :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE the 'relaxed i'm cool' pic in the wagon...he's so handsome! Can't wait to be with ya'll--and I love the family pic too--it's too cute, a framer for sure!
