Christmas Eve

I saw William kissing Mommy...

Playing piano with Casey... a rock star (& my cousin) who just returned from being on tour with the #1 Indie band, "Never Shout Never." He is a guitarist. Will, however, was a bit confused about Casey's identity. When asked about Casey's beard, Will referred to him as a doggie. I suppose the hairy face did resemble fur! :)

(Notice that Will is now playing the piano using all 4 limbs!)

Christmas Eve Service at the church I grew up in. Sadly, Reagan was sick with strep so he didn't make it to Tyler as early as we had hoped. He showed up the evening of the 24th but stayed in the back to avoid contaminating people! Our church held a 4pm service for people with small children. It was great as Will could use a sippy cup & eat goldfish during church! They had little light sticks for kids instead of candles for "Silent Night." Will loved that part except he was not fooled by his light stick. He wanted the real thing. Children came to church dressed as Bible nativity characters and would go to the front as the Christmas story was read. Will particularly liked the sheep & yelled, "Baaa" a lot & loudly! He does not yet understand "indoor voice!" I was thankful for a kid friendly church service!

Reagan likes to call get togethers with my family, "The Brown Family Talent Show." There are some very talented musicians in my family... I am not one of them. Will enjoyed playing piano above with his Great-Gaggy, who plays by ear, & his cousin Cassidy, who sang along.

My brother, Adam, & I

Will reading a book with Bubby & Dorothy - our dear former neighbors (now in their late 80's & early 90'2). Their only son lives in Japan and they have no grandchildren so my brother & I (& now Will too) have always enjoyed the benefits of their extra attention! Though Jewish, they spend nearly every holiday with our family. They are precious to me & to Will.

With his love of doggies, Will loved the 3 golden retrievers at our house. The dogs were begging to come in & Will spent a lot of time at the door also begging on their behalf.

Very happy to see his Daddy.

Will quickly learned that his Cookie (my dad) takes frequent walks. Will loves doggies & he loves walks so he figured out how to get the leash & take it to my dad, while calling "Cookie!" Needless to say, Will took LOTS of walks!

Will & his Uncle Adam. Will has a new security item - his Boston Red Sox hat. He loves it & asks for it all day! He has even taken naps with it. He wore it in the church nursery this week. He has actually thrown a temper tantrum when I wouldn't let him keep it on his naked little body in the bath tub. I thought kids were supposed to be attached to blankets & stuffed animals! I think a hat makes him look too grown up!
