The morning before Will's first dr appointment in Dallas, we hurried to Plano to meet up with one of my lifelong friends & her new baby, Andrew (we call him Baby Drew in our house.) Will had been pretending to be "Baby Drew" for the previous week so it was fun to actually see him (although the real one isn't crawling or "crying for mama" yet like the pretend one did.)
I LOVED getting to cuddle that sweet baby boy!
Thanks, Jennifer, for making the effort to get out of the house with a newborn to come see us!!!
We stayed one night at my former college roommate's house. Thanks, Laura, Matt, & sweet Caroline for hosting Will & I!
(And a special thanks to Caroline for putting up with Will who was unfortunately not on his best behavior the whole time... :( )
It was so nice after our 6 hour drive in rainy weather to get to Dallas and have a warm homemade meal & a yard for Will to run in. And run he did. He takes after his Cookie. Literally, I asked Laura for a few minutes before dinner for Will to run & we opened the back door & he just ran in circles with a smile on his face!
There's something about hanging out with a former roommate - they know you oh so well! I loved just sitting in her living room after the kids were down & having a special treat & a glass of wine & discussing life. She really got my brain thinking on a certain topic I'm sure I will post about soon. (Or I hope I will, at the rate I'm going it might be 2012. Stay tuned!)
Sweet friends- age 2 & 18 mts
until we broke out in a concert of "Twinkle Twinkle."

Laura & I were very excited to bathe our kids together & get cute pics- I think our husbands thought our bathtime zealousness might have been a little odd.
What can we say? When you only have 1 kid to take bath pics of, you gotta take opportunities when they arise for multiple kids in a bath pics!
Enjoying some bedtime milk together... a rare moment when Will was being sweet to his friend
Clearly Will has no concept of personal space in the bathtub. He saw no reason why he shouldn't be able to swim with full kicking & swimmer's arms.
Happily playing in the tub
Walking down Knox/Henderson Street, Will loved running just a few feet ahead of Caroline. I loved how the little flirt kept turning his head to make sure she was still watching & following him.
At lunch at one of our fav Mexican restaurants in Dallas, Chuy's, Will tried really hard to get Caroline's attention
(She is clearly not impressed with his efforts.)
Will taught Laura how to play "Will Do" while we were eating lunch. She was a great sport & played the game- he took it very seriously as you will see.
Disclaimer- there were no margaritas consumed at lunch causing Laura to participate in this game in a public place. She's naturally cool like that without the aid of margaritas.
Extra Disclaimer- our waiter walks by during the game & shortly after suggested tequila. We of course declined but observing this must have convinced him we needed something...
