R has been working like a DOG lately (more on that later) & I haven't been feeling too great (thank you, God!) so my parents flew in for a quick 48 hour visit last week. Will had a BLAST, got some much needed testosterone induced rough play time with his Cookie, & I got to lay on the couch & be pampered as my mom cooked & grocery shopped & did my life for me. It was glorious!
Will has needed some serious roughhousing play time with a man with his Daddy gone. I was so thankful that Cookie came & played hard with my little guy. It was good for him!He showed off how he does the big boy swing at the park: He demonstrated for Cookie & Lovie how we use our home heartbeat doppler to find the baby's heartbeat. (If you are pregnant, this is the best thing ever - you can rent them so you don't have to pay full price! So reassuring & fun to teach your kids about the baby growing in Mommy's tummy!)
Again - is he a ob-gyn in training???!?! (see post below on Willisms!)
He showed off his Harley skills
He & Cookie dressed up as Woody the Cowboy (Will) & Buzz Lightyear (Cookie - that's a colander turned space helmet he's wearing!)
One night, I walked in the kitchen to discover that Will had both Lovie & Cookie wearing his old cowboy hats that no longer fit him. He was adamant that they wear them all night - even when a friend stopped by! They definitely adore their Will!
He played lots of pirates
He even convinced Cookie to come up into his pirate ship (aka - the fort) & play pirates with him. At one point, he instructed Cookie (whom he called, "Mate") to lower the anchors & put up the sails. Cookie isn't one for pretend games but he tried really hard to make the sounds & do the pretend play thing - pretty cute!
Will was the "Captain" & he kept a lookout for wild animals in our yard via his binoculars
Will has been begging for a Woody the Cowboy toy for a while now. At one point, he gave up & named his stuffed giraffe Woody. He carried the Woody giraffe everywhere with him & insisted that people recognize him as a cowboy. Finally, we decided that he could have the toy but he would have to pay for it himself.
We took down his piggy bank & counted his money.
I calculated $86. Will calculated "3 seconds!"
He loves counting his money now & then carefully putting each coin back in the piggy bank.

Ahh wish we were living close together again, Walker LOVES Buzz and Woody. I ebay bought him the VHS version of Toy Story 2 in case I need entertainment backup when the baby arrives and our SS teacher got him stuffed buzz and woody dolls for when the baby arrives--I can hardly wait to see his face when he gets them.
too fun our boys!

I hope Abby gets half the personality Will has!
