He is Risen!
Happy Easter!
Kissing the babe... & our little family (for now)
Honey & G-Dad:
He took egg hunting very seriously... & very, very slowly
Mommy was happy to practice sharing with him & enjoyed the candy too!
He's enjoyed some quality time with grandparents: reading stories & playing the Goodnight Moon game
Sometimes life as Will must be exhausting! After his nap every day, he likes to go to his "spot" on the front sidewalk & rest some more.
Before Easter weekend, we made a fun (& extremely messy) craft - birdseed bird feeders!
Most of it could be done outside (thankfully) but the part with the hot glue had to be done inside. Will had a blast getting messy & then walking around our yard to hang them. He also enjoyed giving so many away to family & neighbors.
The park by our house had an Easter egg hunt yesterday & jump houses. Will was a bit overwhelmed & thankfully isn't into quanity of eggs- I think he got 2! He did enjoy the hotdog he received, however, which we carried back down the street to our house to eat on his "spot."
He also loved dyeing eggs this year!
He also loved dyeing eggs this year!
He enjoyed counting his eggs & making them various colors. He also made his hands turn colors!
Daddy didn't work all weekend (a first!!!) so Will enjoyed lots of quality dad time - pillow fighting & baseball practice & taking him to swim lessons were the best!
He also enjoyed swinging while Cookie did pull-ups
He was not a fan of the Easter bunny. He refused to have his picture taken with him but he did wave from a distance.
When discussing the meaning of Easter this week, I asked Will what Jesus died to save us from. His reply?
"The Easter Bear!"
Apparently, the Easter Bear is the archenemy of the Easter Bunny. :)
My favorite Willism of the week:
This morning after Easter Sunday church, we were in the car & I had on our toddler Bible song cd. Will is often asking questions about various songs but today said, "Mommy, what's a Christian?" I replied that it is someone who believes in Jesus. He said, "What's the Christian's name?" We told him that Christians have lots of names. Lovie said her name is Julie & she's a Christian. He asked me if I was a Christian & pointed out that my name is Katie. Then he announced, "I'm a Christian too!"
I love seeing little glimpses of faith in him!
May your Easter be blessed!
