It's A...

Perhaps because we've always been rule followers & we have inner rebels, we decided to once again, remain surprised!!!
In my purse, however, is a little slip of paper revealing what our gender our babe is in a sealed envelope. We did this with Will & opened it after his birth. It was so fun to see if the doctor was right. We'll see if I can continue to resist the temptation! I ought to hide it from myself!

We had our 19 week ultrasound today. The babe weighs 9 oz & is beautiful. The heartbeat was 149bpm. We are all pretty sure the babe smiled at us!
In our 2 hour ultrasound today, we learned there are some complications with this pregnancy it seems. I will be seeing some perinataolgists & prenatal counselors while we are in Boston later this week. They plan on more ultrasounds & a fetal mri while we are there. When we come home, our ob would like for us to see a specialist here as we determine our delivery options and the best post birth options for this precious babe, once again.
Please pray for our babe - some of the possibilities we found today are terrifying. Please pray for our hearts as we enter this scary world of unknowns once again. Please pray for Will - we are not sharing any information with him yet (mostly because we don't know anything definitive yet) but we may need to prepare him for some things at a later date.
Please pray for wisdom on the part of the doctors and us as we pursue more testing possibly. Thank you.
We continue to claim Psalm 139 for each of our children - they are all fearfully & wonderfully made. We continue to claim Job 42 & Jeremiah 33 for our children & our lives- we can't begin to come close to fathoming His plan but we are confident God remains God.

how exciting to be surprised... i wish i had the discipline to do it, or convince my husband!

and you don't probably know me, i am megan voskamp's college roommate. so i heard about you when will was born and honestly stumbled on your blog recently thru britney poe (high school friend of my sister).

all this to say you are an inspiring mom. your will is precious. looks like he is tons of fun, a joy. your faith and trust is impacting people you do not know, like myself.

we will be praying for your sweet family as it grows to 4 and for the uncertainty & concerns that still await you guys in this pregnancy.
