Boston - the final post

So - I never got around to posting the rest of our Boston photos in the midst of the chaos of the last month & all that has occurred with Sweet Ellie.... & my computer dying didn't help matters! Now that I have access once again to photos - here's some very late pictures of our Boston trip last month. (Not that anyone really cares- but I figure this is how I will remember what happened in our lives so that when I am scrapbooking in my nursing home someday I will have some sort of record to go back to to tell me what in the world we were doing.)

I love all of Will's doctors - all over the USA. These are some of his Boston ones- they just happen to be some of the premier specialists in their fields at Children's Hospital of Boston. And, they let my 2 year old listen to their hearts during their exams. Love it.

You can't tell from the above picture but there were probably 20 doctors in this room with us. Lots of them were residents & many were highly specialized in their various fields. It was very overwhelming at first but then they gave Will a flashlight & he went around to some of our nation's top doctors & counted their teeth & listened to their hearts.
I love a good pediatric hospital!
Will loved riding in taxis! He loved hailing the taxi (sticking his arm out & yelling "TAXI!") He also loved climbing in & sticking his head through the window to say, "Hotel, please sir." Cracked us up! Once, he announced that he didn't like the music (rap) & then politely requested his music (mostly Bible songs on a cd his babysitter made him for the trip!) I told him I didn't have the cd on me & normally taxi drivers don't accomodate their passengers music preferences.
We took the Boston Duck Tour on these neat old trucks that can also float on the Charles River. Will got to drive all by himself for a portion of the river part of the tour. He LOVED it! He especially loved that our captain was a pirate!
I suppose it was the trip of transportation variety. We took a duck truck/boat, plane, bus, & subway! On the subway above with Daddy!
Beautiful cherry trees in bloom in Boston's Public Garden
On the bus - doesn't R look thrilled?
Not sure what face Will is making
Will's babysitter, Miss Julie, (whom graduates this weekend & is going to college this fall at which point we will go into deep mourning) made him a care package for his Boston trip & doctors' visits. It included his very first personal walkman & a cd she made him. He LOVED it! And we loved that he would wear the headphones. Great for airplane trips!
Daddy & Will on our duck tour
I suppose our first day there had a "duck" theme. We did the duck tour & we also walked to the Public Gardens to see the infamous ducks of "Make Way for Ducklings." Will & I checked this charming children's story out from our local library prior to our trip so he was familiar with the ducklings & got very excited when he saw them.
