When we got home after 8 hours on the road Monday, our front porch looked like this:
dear friends surprised us with a surprise grocery dash!
(Like a diaper dash but with groceries & diapers too!)
There was a cooler full of cold foods and all kinds of snacks, breakfast foods, lunch foods, paper goods, and treats!
I was so relieved to not have to go to the store.
What a precious gift they have given us - gifts of rest and time not spent at the store!
And for 2 days, things kept arriving!
So fun!!!
Thank you friends for loving us & for taking care of a practical need so we could use our short "break" time to be together and rest.
(And after that drive, I was so glad to not have to go to the store late at night!)
Will & Ellie's cousins made us a welcome home sign
Will ran in circles in the front yard
Aunt Melinda left fun balloons in each kid's room
And precious Ellie...
she saw her room for the first time ever
She was so happy in her bed!
This beautiful bouquet with lots of pink was on our table (thanks, Melinda!)
and dinner was in the oven (thanks, Shirley!)
Thank you dear friends who organized the grocery dash!
We are humbled and overwhelmed at your generosity!
Will was very excited when he woke up the next morning to climb in his fort.
He had fun playing baseball/wrestling with his cousins
Ellie met her cousins for the first time
my touch for a love language child was very happy to see his cousins
ellie got some love from Harper
And Will had fun swinging with Hayden
Though Ellie technically met Ruby a month ago, now she is really noticing her
Sweet Ruby dog
We have been welcomed home wonderfully!
