Since we've had a "break" home, we've been BUSY!
Will has gone back to his previous swim teacher twice when she let him join a class & get some time in the water.
Will enjoys school
Ellie has been dressed up by her brother...
Her bottom was attacked (gently) by T-Rex
We've run to school together now that I have a double stroller.
(I was afraid Ellie wouldn't live so we never bought a double stroller before she was born. I'm loving having it at last!)
And we enjoyed multitasking in the morning - running while dropping off Will- check that off my list!
in the stroller this am
I took both Ellie & Will by our local perinatologist's office. He has treated both my babies in-utero. I am so thankful for Dr. B., Jamie, & his staff!
(And oh so very thankful to take Ellie ALIVE to his arms. So many times I cried in his office while we discussed the possibility that she might not survive.)
I spent so many hours with Dr. B. during my pregnancy - I think Ellie responded to his voice!
We had our first homework assignment - a "family turkey" art project.
I'm not going to lie. The night before we worked on it, I had a dream about the project. Ridiculous.
I'm going to have to work on letting my competitive spirit die.
We had fun working on it & today at school, there was a blue ribbon beside it that read, "Happiest Turkey" (each child's turkey won a ribbon for something.)
Will made a tent one night out of his car mat & Ellie's play mat. He then crawled under it with her and his toys.
Hope this is the beginning of years of playing happily together
Ellie has enjoyed meeting lots and lots of people who have prayed for her
And we finally got together with some of our friends whom we have missed so much!
We lined the kiddos up from oldest to youngest. Will is #6 from the right & Ellie is the baby in the farthest left carseat.
There were lots of friends we didn't get to see. Hopefully, we will catch them on our next break home.
We also had both kids' therapy evaluations. THANK GOD - Will is dismissed for now from both PT & OT!!! He scored high enough to not require it for awhile! God knew I needed something off my plate!
Ellie, on the other hand, does require lots of various forms of therapy & I am very overwhelmed by the amount of time I need to spend daily working on things.
But that's a whole other post.
We've enjoyed our "break." I haven't really rested - too much to do (like Ellie's room - I guess I was too scared she wouldn't come home to it so I never actually finished it), too much to unpack, too many friends we want to see. I have had some "forced relaxation" (thank you, Sarah!!!) And we've especially enjoyed being back in our home with our yard & our beds!
