Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

More Ellie stuff coming soon...
but I wanted to finally post our FUN Boston trip pictures!
Our first full day there, we were treated to a night of a lifetime at Fenway Park as the Red Sox played the NY Yankees! Talk about setting the bar high - I just don't think the Rangers can compete with our night at Fenway!
We were given a private tour (I felt so VIP as we got right through security holding all those "regular" fans back!) Will was presented with lots of cool gifts from Rich & Anita (who hooked us up with the tour & their seats) & Anne (the Fenway Ambassador who went out of her way to make this such a special night.) Will has loved the "Boston B's" since our first visit to Boston about 18 months ago. He LOVES baseball & practices every single day just about. It was a great time for our family & now that I think about it, it was Ellie's first game too. I'd say we started our kids out pretty good, huh?!! Thank you, Rich, Anita, & Anne! Wow! What a night! I'll let the pictures talk:
See that red dirt? That's FENWAY PARK! We were on the field during Red Sox batting practice. My husband was beside himself as David Ortiz is right behind my shoulder. I mean - wow! Will was also super excited to be at a baseball game & at batting practice. He was a little disappointed that we left his tee in our hotel room, however.
They sent him home with some little packages of Fenway dirt- how fun is that?
There's something about seeing your name in lights... (below the John Hancock)
Pretty sure that will never happen again!

Will was hoping to catch a fly ball... it was a little difficult when he wore his glove like a catcher's mask

Before the game, he found this entertainer who let him spin a ball on his finger. Will was so proud of himself!

Thanks, Rich Koz for treating us to memories of a lifetime!!! We loved meeting you & are so thankful for the night you gave us at Fenway!

My Boy loving their B's

Will LOVES Wally!
He talked about him for weeks leadidng up to the game & pretty much hasn't stopped talking about him since.

This was some elite area - not sure what it is called

Will received a very cool old fashioned lunch box autographed by Wally from Rich & is now probably the only kid in TX who is an official member of the Red Sox Kid Nation.

He LOVES his lunch box- perfect for preschool!
During our private tour, we were able to see the skyboxes and the jerseys worn by such legends as Ted Williams & Babe Ruth. When Will saw Babe Ruth's picture, he said, "Look, it's me!" Clearly, he's got good self-esteem.

I just love this picture of my boys heading down to their seats. It was a looooong walk down since our seats from Rich were AMAZING! We were literally 10 rows up from the center of the Red Sox dugout. Wow!

I wish I could zoom in on Will's face here - he was one excited little baseball fan!

We were so blessed with the opportunity of a lifetime. Touring Fenway Park privately, standing on the field during batting practice, seeing areas we will never see again, & watching the "Boston B's play the Yankees" during opening week - WOW! The only thing that would have made it better would have been had the Red Sox won! Oh well - it went into overtime & we really had a blast! Will loves baseball & this was a dream come true for him & for us as we watched him so enjoy himself!
Coming Up: Pictures from the game & a surprise visitor to Will in the 4th Inning!
